Girl’s Day Donate 10 Million Won to Nepal Earthquake Relief

The members of Girl’s Day have responded to the devastating news of the Nepal earthquake by donating 10 million won (approximately $9,300 USD) to relief efforts.

A representative of Korean Red Cross revealed, “Girl’s Day has donated 10 million won to the Red Cross to help the victims of the Nepal earthquake.”

Known for actively participating in voluntary work and doing good deeds, Girl’s Day expressed their concern over the situation in Nepal, “We decided to collectively donate to help the people of Nepal, who have lost their family and friends due to the sudden and powerful earthquake, get back on their feet. While our contribution is small, we hope it will help Nepal return to its state before the earthquake a little bit faster.”

Previously on April 26, Minah asked her fans to “Pray for Nepal.”

Meanwhile, Korean Red Cross will leave for Nepal on May 4 at 8:30 a.m. to provide medical assistance to the victims.

Demi Lovato Just Won This Round

Demi Lovato, as we all know, is basically perfect. She has that thing where she's so talented and gorgeous and all that, but she's also such a strong role model, what with the way she battled addiction and eating disorders and overcame both. Sadly, this week someone tried to undermine her greatness: the tattoo artist who did Demi's lip tattoo, also known as her "vagina tattoo." The artist, Ashley McMullen, tried to slam Demi all over the place, and at first all she got was a hilarious series of storytelling emojis from Demi.

But she's replied in full now, everyone. And it's powerful:

Dear Ashley McMullen, I wasn't going to acknowledge your bitter Instagram comments but since your side of the story has picked up some headlines, I would like to share my thoughts and send you a proper apology. First, I would like to say I'm really sorry I don't remember you or getting tattooed by you, but as you know I was f---ed up and sometimes people act like '#turds' when they're loaded. Second, I apologize for my '#peepeetoiletseat'… That wasn't on purpose, I was simply a drunken teenage girl. Lastly, I apologize for making fun of your work.. But… if I were you, I wouldn't claim that one because it looked more like an open vagina (or even a butt hole as my 8 year old little sister called it at the time.) I also wouldn't be admitting to the fact that you tattooed a very intoxicated 18 year old on a tour bus without the proper judgment that most legit tattoo artists have of saying 'Hmm… This underage kid is wasted, maybe I shouldn't permanently ink a hot pink kiss mark on this girl's wrist….? Oh well… F--- it, she's famous.' I can't blame you for getting the tattoo, I take full responsibility for that but if the issue here is you wanting credit, maybe next time you should wait for the person to get your tattoo sober so they would actually remember getting the tattoo in the first place, or perhaps you could've thought about all of this as a blessing that I forgot everything about you – that was until you outted yourself for the now internationally infamous 'vagina tattoo.' But you're right, I should give credit where credit is due, and you Ashley, surely deserve credit for this one. #justputitonmytab.

Song Ji Hyo Compares Boyfriends Gary and Byun Yo Han

On April 30, tvN‘s new Friday-Saturday drama “Ex-Girlfriend Club” held a press conference at Youngdeungpo Time Square in Seoul. Song Ji Hyo, Byun Yo Han, Lee Yoon Ji, Jang Ji Eun, Ryu Hwa Young, and PD Kwon Seok Jang were present while Park Kyung Lim emceed.

A reporter asked Song Ji Hyo, “Isn’t Gary jealous?” to which the actress replies, “I meet [Byun] Yo Han every day besides Monday and Tuesday. If Gary feels like an ex-boyfriend, then [Byun] Yo Han feels like a new shooting comet.”

She continues, “I recently filmed with [Gary] oppa and he told me good things [about my drama]. That he thinks it will be fun. After seeing me with Yo Han, he said we look good together. He supported me. Thank you, oppa.”

Meanwhile, “Ex-Girlfriend Club” is about popular webtoon writer Bang Myung Soo (Byun Yo Han) and his romance with film producer Kim Soo Jin (Song Ji Hyo) as they make his stories about his ex-girlfriends into a film. The drama is set to air after “Super Daddy 10” ends on May 8 every Friday and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. KST.

Starship Entertainment Denies SISTAR’s Bora Is Dating “The Voice Korea’s” Sam Ku

Starship Entertainment has responded to rumors that SISTAR’s Bora is dating former “The Voice Korea” contestant singer Sam Ku.

On April 30, a representative from Starship Entertainment firmly denied the rumors, “It doesn’t even make sense that Bora and Sam Ku are dating. She barely even knows who Sam Ku is. [The rumors] are definitely not true.”

The representative continued, “Recently when Bora was an MC on KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank,’ he came and greeted her but that is it. This has caught us off guard.”

Sam Ku was a contestant on the first season of Mnet’s “The Voice Korea” in 2012. He was later signed to GnG Production, the same label as actor Lee Jong Hyuk, and debuted in February 2014.
